Daily Life at Abhayagiri, Spring 2017

A spring morning at Abhayagiri's new reception Hall

Work periods have been used to prepare the main area for a make-over.

Then-Anagarika Dorian and his father helped dismantle the porch,

Everyone helped remove the island from the old kitchen,

And Luang Por was glad to see the house being prepared for demolition.

For Songkran this year, supporters prepare rice for Pindapat at the new hall.

Many were happy to celebrate the Thai New Year here,

and everyone was invited to bathe the Buddha.

Flowers were also prepared for the final Buddha consecration ceremony on Songkran,

and the whole community offered the flowers to the Buddha.
